GOM-804/805採用3.5吋的彩色LCD顯示幕，讓量測結果更清晰易讀外，也增加了相關設定條件的顯示，大大的提升了測試資訊的完整度。GOM-804/805提升量測的速度到每秒60筆的取樣速度的情況下，仍能提供0.05%準確度、而且顯示位數也不會因為速度的選擇而使原有的5位數，降低為4位數。另外，使用了獨立的功能按鍵和方向鍵，也提高了操作上的便利性，讓使用者更加直觀便捷的完成所有量測的任務。
另外，GOM-805為因應不同類型的材料的量測應用，還提供乾電路(Dry circuit)和各式驅動模式(直流+/直流-、脈衝、脈衝寬度變調)。當不同材料的導體互相接觸，因對溫度變化不同所產生的電位差，可用脈衝電流輸出模式，來降低在低阻測量時的熱電動勢影響。直流+/直流-電流輸出模式，則適用於電感性元件的量測需求。而脈衝寬度變調輸出模式，則適用於對溫度變化敏感的材料，可避免因長時間量測電流的加載，造成阻值變化。當使用直流+、直流-和脈衝驅動模式時，可同時搭配乾電路(Dry circuit)進行量測；乾電路可將開路電壓限制在20mV的情況，以避免元件兩端的電壓過高，破壞了接觸點表面的氧化層或薄膜，進而破壞量測的有效性，例如連接器的接觸電阻測量，就是一個典型的應用。
